Who We Are

Julann Godbey has been traveling to Malawi since 2009, the year she went on her first mission trip. Julann felt called by the Lord to return in 2011 and has returned every year since then. Godbey Ministries was founded by her in April of 2014 when she became a 501c3; up until then she carried in teams to plant churches in remote villages in Malawi and later purchased land in Lumbadzi Malawi which is now home to The Kingdom Discipleship Centre, better known as KDC. KDC has really grown over the last 5 years, we have The Pool Mission House that will serve many missionaries coming into Malawi, the KDC kids Centre, the Hamilton Chapel, the Mataka residence (Director of Godbey Ministries KDC in Malawi), and 2 guard houses. There is still so much to be done as we plan, if in God’s will, to purchase another adjacent piece of land that will serve as bathroom facilities for our church which will include tearing down a portion of our wall and rebuilding several feet out from where it now is. We have plumbing and electrical, plastering and painting, and furnishing left to do at the Pool Mission House, and also an altar to be built in the new church. BUT GOD!!! HE always provides through the hearts of His people, and we believe that HE will indeed complete what HE has started.

We have numerous programs under The Godbey Ministries umbrella including the following: KDCSP (Kingdom Discipleship Centre Sponsorship Program), which allows one with the heart to sponsor a KDC child to do so at any monthly amount; these donations go towards school fees, medicine, school supplies, or whatever the greatest need is at the time. This program also offers special attention to the relationship between you and your child or children such as, video visits with an interpreter, and also the blessing of being able to travel to Malawi with GM to visit with your child or children face to face. We also have our newly implemented program, ‘Adopt a House Project’ where you can have a new home built for a widow by us tearing down the dilapidated home and building a new one in its place with a tin roof. The cost to do this is 1500.00 in US currency and literally changes lives. We have already built 2 since we returned from Malawi in March of 2024, God is so so good and we are so excited for these sweet ladies in the area of the KDC Centre to get a new home that is safe and comfortable to live in. We also have an Elderly Program, where we visit, minister, and provide supplies for the elderly, a prison ministry where we carry in food, supplies, bibles, blankets, and anything else the incarcerated in Malawi might need. We minister hut to hut and in other areas of Malawi as well. Julann carries in a team each year and always welcomes anyone with the heart to serve in this capacity to join her and her team in Malawi. There are forms provided on the website if you are interested in joining Godbey Ministries on a mission trip. We normally schedule our trips sometime between March to June months to accommodate everyone. The total cost including round trip airfare is roughly 3500.00. If you are interested in joining us please go to the contact us tab and send via email to Julann.
